"Plant-growing, mainly cereal growing: wheat, maize, barley and oil-bearing sunflower. Wheat has the biggest share in sowing (nearly 50 per cent), while sunflower and maize are about a quarter each. The cultivated areas cover 30 000 decares. The facilities are located on the territory of First Farmyard with а total area of 15 decares. The facilities include: a mechanical workshop, a repair workshop, garages, a spherical warehouse, weighing scales, an agricultural machinery park as well as 4 000 -tonne silos for grain storage. The company has been breeding hybrid seeds of SAN LUKA sunflower and KNEZHA 509, KNEZHA 611, KNEZHA 613, KNEZHA 614 maize for ten years. In 2006 the company also added winter and spring rapeseeds to its sowing. At the same time it’s a distributor of hybrid rapeseeds from the German companies SAATEN UNION and Raps Gbr. After carrying out a number of demonstration tests, the most suitable hybrids to the Bulgarian climate turned out to be the hybrids Vectra- winter rapeseed and Hunter- spring rapeseed."

Since its foundation in 1994 the activities of the Cooperative Agrotida are mainly in the field of plant-growing and a priority is the production of cereals: wheat, maize, barley and oil-bearing sunflower. Wheat has the biggest share in sowing (nearly 50 per cent), while sunflower and maize are about a quarter each. At the baginning the cultivated areas cover 6000 decares. In its 14 years of existence the company expanded the cultivated areas cover to 30 000 decares. This is an opportunity for optimal use of existing and newly purchased equipment. The company Agrotida Ltd. was registered in 2002. The facilities are located on the territory of First Farmyard with а total area of 15 decares. The facilities include: a mechanical workshop, a repair workshop, garages, a spherical warehouse, weighing scales, an agricultural machinery park as well as 4 000 -tonne silos for grain storage. Two projects under the SAPARD program for the purchase of agricultural machinery were implemented in 2001 and 2002 and in 2004 a project for the construction of a grain storage facility was implemented. The company has been breeding hybrid seeds of SAN LUKA sunflower and KNEZHA 509, KNEZHA 611, KNEZHA 613, KNEZHA 614 maize for ten years.
