The objective of the Chamber is to represent its members and to monitor and promote trade and services aiming at economic development. Assisting business progress and advancement by supporting modernization, leadership, encouragement and promotion of business interests and establishing long-term relationships with key business partners. Established since 1897, CCIT is the legitimate representative   and advocate of the protection of business interests; Since 2008 there is voluntary membership near Chamber; Under the jurisdiction of CCIT, the business of Tirana Region contributes with over 40% of the country’s GDP; 40% of total exports etc; 33,3% of the total number of active entreprises operate at country level; and with 40,7% of owned companies and run by women, and 69% of the total number of foreign entreprises and joint-ventures; Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tirana is considerably active in the field of enhancing innovative entrepreneurship, developing international outlook and competitiveness of SMEs and fostering potential start-up entrepreneurs and newly-established micro and small enterprises. Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tirana participates in several initiatives that foster the development of entrepreneurship and implements special actions related to sustainable growth of the Albanian Region. CCIT is active in a considerable number of countries worldwide through its representation offices. Among them, the following can be mentioned: the office in South Africa, in England, Canada, China, the United States of America, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Spain, etc.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tirana offers advisory and support services, in order to promote and secure the interests of its members. - Consultancy with the business regarding their issues. It also contacts the media to make them public for a wider circle of stakeholders.

With its membership it is possible to speak with a unified voice and to lobby on formulation of policies in the interest of business, such as fiscal regime, administrative barriers etc;

Performing the consular service of the equipment with verbal notes; Issuance of certificates of origin for export products; Providing a specialized judicial and technical consultancy for its own members and for all the businesses that operate in the district of Tirana in the Field of Intellectual Ownership (Trademarks and service brands, invention patents, geographical nominations, copyright, defending the cases of the industrial ownership at the courts of all the levels, specialized consultancy at public and private Universities).

Activities that promote exports/fairs, trade fairs;

The annual organization of a certain number of trainings with employees of different businesses according to the relevant subjects based on the interest, including the issues of the strategic management and business planning, financial management, project management, internationalization, marketing, etc. Promotion and development of ‘’dual’’ system of vocational education and training, based on the best European models;

Mediator with the diplomatic corps in presenting the potentials / products, services in the foreign market; The organization of the fairs and exhibitions domestically but even the aid provided to businesses to participate in international fairs - one of the significant services of the Chamber in the promotion of the Albanian business and the creation of the opportunities in order for them to grow, develop and extend to new markets, in the application of the new contemporary technologies as well as in the accomplishment of the standards required by the European market.

Bilateral, Multilateral Agreements and Regional Integration. Providing contribution in the realization of business missions with international partners in Albania or in other foreign countries with its own initiative as well as a part of the government delegations, attracting the foreign investments to Albania and their cooperation with the Albanian investors.

The management of a series of projects, mainly implemented in partnership with the other partners abroad funded by different Programmes of the European Commission, such as the transboundary programmes or the ones of the South-East Europe.
