Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) was founded and operates on the basis of Law no. 10303 dated July 15th, 2010 “On the creation and organization of Albanian Investment Development Agency.” AIDA's main objectives are: attract foreign investment, increase the competitiveness of the Albanian economy through the support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as through innovation. The direct contribution of AIDA in the economic development is evidenced through: Facilitation and support of direct investments in Albania; Increase the competitiveness and innovation capacity of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs); Encouragement and support to exports of goods and services. AIDA offers to foreign and domestic investors, comprehensive support for their investment projects. Its qualified staff assists not only with market analysis, potential sectors for investment, but also with advice on finding suitable properties and locations (greenfield and brownfield), as well as helping to identify new and existing projects to collaborate. AIDA also provides aftercare services aiming to meet successfully the demands of foreign investors after the successful completion of their projects.

BiznesAlbania is established on 10 December 2010 as an independent organization of employers and business associations. Having been established due to the increasing need for the private sector to stand together with a unified voice, BiznesAlbania has become the sole organization representing, promoting and safeguarding the rights and interests of employers in Albania. BiznesAlbania provides a forum for consultation and discussion among members on matters of common interest, and seeks for the adoption of principles and best practices through information, legal advice, research, training and other activities. BiznesAlbania has 24 Business Associations as association members, and a number of individual companies as direct members. It represents more than 30.000 employers as part of association members BiznesAlbania is recognized nationally, regionally and internationally. In December 2013, BiznesAlbania became a member of the National Council of Labour having also the position of the deputy chairman of the Council representing the employers’ side. It is also a member of the National Economic Council chaired by the Prime Minister of Albania and in a series of committees and boards that serve the Tripartite Social Dialogue in Albania. It works closely with the ILO and is a full member of the International Organization of Employers (IOE) since June 2013, partner of BusinessEurope and DECP (Dutch Employers’ Cooperation Programme). BiznesAlbania offers its members a wide range of services including Law Consultation Service, Information Dissemination, VET, Networking, Lobbying/Advocacy, and Research & Publications. In March 2014 BiznesAlbania in cooperation with ILO Office in Budapest conducted strategic planning workshop to review strategic direction for BiznesAlbania. A key outcome of the workshop was that BiznesAlbania should eventually broaden its range of issues concerning business therefore becoming eventually a business organization rather than employers’ organization. The mission and vision for the organization has been redrafted to reflect this need.

AGENDA Institute is an independent think tank, established in 2006 in the form of an NGO with the aim to improve the policy-making process in Albania. Through bringing citizens closer to policy making processes and putting their perspective in the center of policy-making, AGENDA Institute aims to enhance the debate, evidence-based analysis and effectiveness of public policies in the country. Today, the Institute has a well recognized profile among its fellows and our experts are invited to analyze many of the most publicly discussed issues in Albania. AGENDA is also a reputable information source for key national and international institutions. Some of the main projects and activities implemented during these years include a series of Research and Policy papers, policy briefs, instructive/informative brochures and public discussions on issues related to social and economic development, taxation, youth, gender, migration, local development, higher education, EU integration, etc. AGENDA’s work is based in developing efficient methods of filtering policy ideas in order to effectively respond to the dynamic policymaking environment, supporting the Albanian citizens to make informed decisions about public policies and transparently monitor their implementation. Agenda’s main objectives are to: Stir an open and significant public debate in issues of Social and Economic development in Albania, Democratization and Governance, and EU integration, by researching and producing thorough policy analyses on these topics. Be a key public opinion leader and a reputable voice by producing continued reactions on current issues of importance and advocate for best policy alternatives. Introduce in the public debate in Albania, innovative, creative and even controversial ideas for policy interventions. Make data and policy alternatives easy to understand and attractive for the Albanian media and public. Improve the quality of public policies, by increasing participation in public policy drafting and decision making process. Monitor developments of policy and implementation in the fields of interest for the institute. Create research capacity especially among a new generation of young researchers by providing training and research opportunities.

The Protik ICT Resource Center is established by the combined efforts and goals of the Government of Albania, USAID, Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), Microsoft, Cisco, and Albtelecom. Established as a local non for profit organization on October the 10th, 2012, Protik’s mission is to catalyze the development of the information and communications technology (ICT) sector in Albania. The accomplishment of its mission was founded and will continue to be inspired on the values of Integrity, Excellence, Transparency, Collaboration and Cooperation. Protik aims to become the Albanian ICT hub: a connection point for those seeking the latest and most innovative ideas, products, and services. As an ICT resource center, Protik will have a significant effect on long run productive activities in other sectors of the economy, through: promoting innovation and creativity, facilitating the creation of links between the ICT sector and other sectors of the economy; increasing the know – how of non ICT people on ICT related subjects, promoting the best practices and international standards, providing access in training and technology to underprivileged groups, etc. Doing so, the impact of ICT will become even more noticeable.
