The objective of the Chamber is to represent its members and to monitor and promote trade and services aiming at economic development. Assisting business progress and advancement by supporting modernization, leadership, encouragement and promotion of business interests and establishing long-term relationships with key business partners. Established since 1897, CCIT is the legitimate representative   and advocate of the protection of business interests; Since 2008 there is voluntary membership near Chamber; Under the jurisdiction of CCIT, the business of Tirana Region contributes with over 40% of the country’s GDP; 40% of total exports etc; 33,3% of the total number of active entreprises operate at country level; and with 40,7% of owned companies and run by women, and 69% of the total number of foreign entreprises and joint-ventures; Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tirana is considerably active in the field of enhancing innovative entrepreneurship, developing international outlook and competitiveness of SMEs and fostering potential start-up entrepreneurs and newly-established micro and small enterprises. Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tirana participates in several initiatives that foster the development of entrepreneurship and implements special actions related to sustainable growth of the Albanian Region. CCIT is active in a considerable number of countries worldwide through its representation offices. Among them, the following can be mentioned: the office in South Africa, in England, Canada, China, the United States of America, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Spain, etc.

The Albanian Centre for Business Research and Training (ACBRT) is a research, training and consulting non-profit organization established according to the Court Decision No. 524, date 19/03/2009. The founder of ACBRT is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana (CCIT), which is an Institution of public right, independent and non-profitable, functioning according to the Law Nr. 9640, “On the Chambers of Commerce and Industry”, approved by the Albanian Parliament on 9/11/2006. CCIT is the biggest and the most powerful Chamber in Albania, founded in XIXth century and representing today an institution combining the old national traditions with the modern experience of the European Chambers. ACBRT’s main goals are: • Encouraging and carrying out studies, researches, projects, information and training activities in interest of the small and medium sized enterprises and business development in the Tirana Region and country as a whole; • Encouraging the contacts and networking with other research, education and training organizations in the country and abroad aiming at increasing the collaboration and exchange of ideas and experience on business research and training, approach and integration in the European legal and institutional framework. The Albanian Centre for Business Research and Training was created based on the former CCIT Department of Projects, inheriting an important experience in implementation of projects, especially the European ones. Albanian Centre for Business Research and Trainings has been established since March 2009. This centre provides support for business through personalized trainings, the raise of the awareness as well as the establishment of the coordination and cooperation mechanisms intending to: • Develop the business and particularly the SMEs. • To establish a functional communication and the creation of the coordinating mechanisms and means among the research, education and training institutions domestically and abroad, in order to increase the cooperation, the exchange of the ideas and the experience in the fields of professional background and the applicative research for the business, and the quicker approach of the country with the conceptual and legal European framework of the development of business.

The Tirana Regional Development Agency (Tirana RDA) was first established under the SME Foundation in 1993. From this time until 1998 the agency operated under the name Regional Business Agency. However, in 1998 the agency re-registered as a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) so it could legally access and co-operate with international donors and funding institutions. The Tirana RDA coordinates the network of nine other RDA offices around Albania. Under Albania law we are also able to provide consultancy services to private businesses. The Mission of the “Regional Development Agency (SME)” Foundation, (RDA) is: ‘To contribute as co-leader, working alongside the local business community, international donors, central and local authorities and NGO-s, to improve the business climate and encourage economic development in the region through the implementation of joint-effort coordination programs, and to act as a cross-sector resources center.’

RDA2 mission is promotion of a joint policy of integrated investments for the development of Region 2, Tirana-Durrësi-Dibra counties and their potentials, encouragement of a broad model of cooperation, establishment of public-private partnerships with common interest for development, establishment of regional and inter-regional networks, reduction of distinction and gap between the developed and underdeveloped areas aiming at a balanced economic and social development and implementation of public and private projects.
